Saturday Finals Results

It feels as if this week came and went in a blink, doesn’t it? Just like that we completed another successful OOB Festival, and it was only possible with the collaboration of so many people.

First, thank you to the judges who made so many difficult choices this week. OOB wouldn’t be the same without your valuable input!

To the Samuel French staff who have volunteered so much of their time to make this festival possible every year, you deserve a standing ovation. OOB is a labor of love that wouldn’t be possible without everyone’s hard work throughout the year.

Also, thank you to the Vineyard Theater for making your beautiful space available to us, and to the Brazen Fox for being our post-show watering hole once again.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you for our talented playwrights and the directors, actors, stage managers, and designers who brought their visions to life. Thank you for sharing your stories with us; you should all be proud of all you have accomplished and it has been a pleasure meeting you. We look forward to seeing what you do next.

After our Saturday finalists presented their plays one more time our Artistic Director Casey McLain announced the six plays that will be licensed and published by Samuel French in the Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, 43rd Series. Those plays are Baked Goods by Charlie Cohen, Christyn Budzyna, and Helen Park, Rabiosa by Nelson Diaz-Marcano, The Ferberizing of Coral by Patrick Flynn, Better by Vince Gatton, The Forgotten Place by Jeff Locker, and Ballgirl by Gracie Gardner.

Congratulations! Once again, thank you to everyone involved in the festival this year.
