Saturday Finals Results

The party might be over, but there’s still plenty of celebration to be had. OOB is, at its core, a labor of love by the many people who volunteer their time and energy into keeping it alive every year.

There are so many people to thank, and we’d like to start with the judges who made many difficult choices this week. Thank you for generously sharing your thoughts and for assessing these plays with care!

To the Vineyard Theatre, for making your beautiful space available to us once again, and to sideBAR or being our post-show watering hole.

To the Concord Theatricals staff who have offered countless hours of their time make this festival possible, you are rock stars and deserve only the best naps!

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to our talented playwrights and the directors, actors, stage managers, and designers who brought their visions to life. Thank you for sharing your stories with us; you should all be proud of all you have accomplished and we are so happy to have met you. We look forward to watching the stories you tell next.

After our Saturday finalists presented their plays one more time our Artistic Director Casey McLain announced the six plays that will be licensed and published by Samuel French in the Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, 44th Series. Those plays are A Small Breach in Protocol at Big Rick’s Rockin’ Skydive Academy by Daniel Hirsch, I Love You St. Petersburg by Bixby Elliot, Stay for Dinner by Becky McLoughlin, Tidwell, or the Plantation Play by Rodney Witherspoon II, Cluck Deluxe by Bonnie Antosh, and Bunkmates by Jeff Ronan.

Congratulations! Once again, thank you to everyone involved in the festival this year!
