Submissions for 2017 OOB Festival Are Open!

I know, OOB was just a minute ago, right? Several steps are involved in planning and organizing a successful festival, and it starts with you!

Playwrights have from today to December 15 to submit an original short play for the 2017 OOB Short Play Festival. Every year playwrights from around the world submit their short plays or musicals to be considered for our week-long festival in New York City. Twenty four finalists are chosen to have their work performed, and by the end six will be published and licensed by Samuel French. However, that’s not OOB’s only prize. Once in the Final 24 we offer multiple opportunities to expand your professional network and meet other playwrights, directors, actors, producers, artistic directors, and Samuel French staff.

Remember, this is a festival for short plays, so submissions may be no longer than fifteen pages. Scripts must be typed using 10pt font and double spaced. Also, this year playwrights may only submit one play; this will make the submission process streamlined and will help our review process remain efficient. Other submission requirements and the online form are on our homepage at www.oobfestival.com.

So, if you have a story that the world needs to see then please submit your work by December 15. We look forward to reading it!
