CRAIG ESTER (Playwright/Director/Stage Directions) is an actor/playwright/director from Detroit, Michigan. He is extremely honored to take part in this year’s Festival! Recent credits: The R and J Project (writer/director) with Break the Chain Theatre Company, The Comedy of Errors (director) with Hoosier Shakespeare Festival, Monsters of the American Cinema (director) with Penny Seats Theatre.

The Tipping Point by Lia Romeo

 

LIA ROMEO (Playwright) is a playwriting fellow at Juilliard. Her plays have been developed at the O’Neill Playwrights Conference, La Jolla Playhouse, the Lark, LAByrinth Theatre Company and elsewhere. She has been produced off-Broadway at 59E59 and ART/NY as well as regionally around the country. Four of her plays have been recognized by the Kilroys List. Her plays are published by TRW, Broadway Licensing and others. She is a previous winner of the National Short Playwriting Award. She teaches playwriting at Primary Stages/ESPA and in the MA program in creative writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and is also the author of a novel, Dating the Devil (BelleBooks), and a humor book, 11,002 Things to Be Miserable About, which has sold over 35,000 copies worldwide.

 

VICTORIA GRUENBERG (Director) is a stage and audio director. She is drawn to work with strong rhythm, a sense of spectacle and momentum towards a more just future. victoriagruenberg.com

 

LESLIE WILLIAMS ELLIS (Lainie). Favorite roles include Masha (Vanya and…Spike), Betty (The Norwegians), Luli (5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche), Celia (Calendar Girls) and Dr. Emma Brookner (The Normal Heart). Leslie is a realtor in NJ and also a chef on PBS’s Drive By History Eats.

 

ERIN LAYTON (Jan). Magdalen (Edinburgh Festival Fringe). Other acting: I LOVE YOU ST. PETERSBURG! and Better (The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival winners, 2018/2019), among others.

 

PADRAIC LILLIS (Mark) is the Founding Artistic Director of The Farm Theater, Company Member of LAByrinth Theater Company, and a lifelong Yankee fan.

 

LOGAN ROZOS (Chad) is a (proudly!) Bronx-based actor and filmmaker. His credits include the Peabody-nominated David Makes Man, and he is currently co-directing his first documentary.

 

Billionaire Mindset by Patrick Vermillion

 

PATRICK VERMILLION (Playwright) is a playwright with two cats. His plays include The Good Boy Game (2020 O’Neill Finalist, 2023 Venturous Nominee), Bezos N’ Me (2021 O’Neill Semi-Finalist), The Teddies (2022 Steep Commission) and Losing It (Pegasus Playlab Finalist, Detroit New Works Semi-Finalist). His plays have been seen at Ensemble Studio Theatre, MirrorBox, Alchemical Lab, Soho Playhouse and IRT. His plays have been developed at Butler University, Louisiana State University and Sarah Lawrence College. MFA: Northwestern University.

 

CARSEN JOENK (Director) (she/her) (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist, Roundabout Directors Group member, and co-founder of Rat Queen Theatre Co. Her designs have been heard across theatre, film and podcasts. carsen-joenk.com
